Walter started working in aerospace industry in 2018 when he joined AMP. After securing a degree in Industrial Engineering, he pursued a Master in Finance from a private University In San Salvador. His first job in supply chain was as a Supply Chain Coordinator for DHL In 2016.. Walter joined Smurfit Kappa, a company in the packaging industry. As Senior Buyer, he managed all the raw material from different origins around the world and was able save 12.5% on spend creating alliances with vendors to guarantee stock and price for 2 years and an additional 7% on freight costs with the shipping lines. In 2018 he took a position with AMP as Buyer starting with purchases for TechOps, Flightstar and Aeroman. In January 2020 he transitioned to Sourcing Supervisor, leading the sourcing team within the tactical and strategical side. Walter is a big fan of sports and planes. His favorite aircraft is the Queen of the skies—the 747. He has been playing basketball since he was 6 years old and is a Boston Celtics fan. He loves rock'n roll, especially AC/DC. Aside from Spanish, his native tongue, Walter is fluent in English and Portuguese.
